Hello my dearest friend, Have you noticed how when the days get shorter and the Holidays approach, we end up finding ways to be even busier than before? Most of us already live very busy and stressful lives but this time of year seems to amplify it all.
We fill up our calendars with more to-do's
We try to end the year off "right" by squeezing in that one last thing!
Holiday celebrations, preparations, travel, parties, gatherings, etc get squeezed into our already busy schedules
We stress about the upcoming New Year and ponder "Have a done enough this year?"
Ironically, this is the last thing we should be doing. As our days get shorter, our bodies naturally need more time to relax and get quality sleep but our schedules require us to stay awake and use more artificial lighting and screens to get things done. It's no wonder why this time of year so many people end up getting sick. Our bodies NEED those moments of relaxation, sleep, and boredom in order to heal from the days/weeks/years of use. What if all I asked of you today was to find ways to actually say yes to nothing? Yes to doing nothing. Being nothing. Yes to just laying around at night like you probably did as a young teen in your room without all of the screens. Bored. On purpose.

Does the thought of that now bring you anxiety? If so, I challenge you to choose one night per week until the New Year to have no screen time, no extra lighting, no competing interests. Just be... bored. And learn to be calm in a state of nothing.
Your health will thank me later. Now get out of here and go do nothing.
If you would like to get help on putting the puzzle pieces together and addressing the root cause of your health issues, I would be honored to work with you so you can find relief and healing in your body.
